Correspondence, 1813-1816.

Three ALSs from the firm of Truettel and Wurtz in Paris written between 1814 and 1816 discussing books they will supply to Triphook. The letter of 1813 is an 11-page list of books the firm is shipping to Triphook and includes brief bibliographical descriptions as well as prices. The titles are mainly 17th and 18th century imprints but include an edition of Dante's Divina commedia printed by Aldus Manutius of Venice (1502), Ariosto's Orlando Furioso (Venice, 1556), and an edition of Amadis de Gaulle (1551).

Robert Triphook was an antiquarian bookseller who succeeded the stationer J. Triphook at his London shop at 38 St. James Street in 1806.
